The Hohner has EMG's in it and has the right "attitude". The BB5000 has EMG pickups. Pictured below is Philip’s upright/electric bass.  Click here to visit Yamaha’s web site.

Philip uses Carvin amps exclusively and is also endorsed by Carvin. For club gigs he uses both Carvin Pro Bass 100 and 200 amps together. It gives a nice punchy sound. For large gigs he uses a Carvin RSP 1000 with an 8 x.10 cabinet. It’s nice and loud but if you stand too close, it’ll hurt you! Click here to visit Carvin’s web site.

Philip is also using the new Carvin BRX amps. He uses the BRX1500 head.
